The motel is nestled on the side of the Pakatakan Mountain, in the heart of the historic Pakatakan Artists’ Colony. The colony homes, most of which still exist, were once summer cottages to famous artists such as Parker Mann, Edward Loyal Field, Alexander Wyant and J. Francis Murphy.
